Tired of Br-eggs-it? Let’s focus on growing your business with digital marketing!

Digital marketing explained – “Digital marketing is the marketing of brands, products or services using any digital channel to reach your potential clients or customers. The key objective is to promote your message through any form of digital media. Digital marketing extends beyond internet marketing – it includes other digital channels that do not require the use of the internet such as TV, Radio and Mobile Phones”.

Digital marketing provides an important and current method of communicating with your customers – wherever they are situated. It encompasses all marketing activities that use digital devices.

There are many types of digital marketing options that you can consider when planning your marketing strategy: –

– Social media marketing
– Content marketing
– Search engine optimisation (SEO)
– Paid search engine marketing (e.g. Google Ads)
– Email marketing
– Radio advertising
– Television advertising
– Mobile phone advertising

Content is a critical ingredient for all aspects of digital marketing. Content marketing is the skill of conveying valuable information via clear engaging and relevant copy – such as storytelling for example. Subsequently, this increases the awareness of your brand, products or services, with the end goal of prompting the target audience to respond to your call to action. Consequently, a profitable return on investment is the ensuing result. Content marketing also aims at building relationships with both your potential and existing customer audience – becoming much more of a strategic partner rather than just an advertiser.

The Content Marketing Institute explains it as follows: –

“Content marketing is a strategic marketing approach focused on creating and distributing valuable, relevant, and consistent content to attract and retain a clearly-defined audience – and, ultimately, to drive profitable customer action”

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Google Ads

SEO and Google Ads are two highly effective digital marketing tools for many businesses, providing you use companies with the key technical expertise, and a proven track record in these activities.

SEO an abbreviation for ‘Search Engine Optimisation’. It is a digital marketing activity that focusses on growing on-line visibility in organic (non-paid) search engine results. SEO encompasses both the technical as well as creative expertise to enable improved rankings, drive traffic, and increase awareness in on-line search engines. It is both a measurable and repeatable process that is used to send signals to on-line search engines to alert Google that your pages are worth showing in Google’s search results.

Google Ads, previously known as AdWords, is Google’s on-line advertising system. Advertisers can bid on certain keywords to enable their clickable ads to appear in Google’s listings, when a product or service is searched for by interested parties. These adverts will appear on search engine results with the symbol ‘Ad’ in a box in the corner of the listing. Advertisers have to pay for each ‘Ad’ click – Google therefore receives income from each search click.
